A devotion to olives
A devotion to olives
Our son Lian is now 9 months old and at that joyous age where he will eat pretty much anything. He is particularly interested in the contents of Mom’s plate. I noted one clear development yesterday at the Winds’ Spanish dinner: Lian, like his sister, adores olives. His preference was quite clear. He pushed aside meat, green beans and bread in search of little slivers of bright green and rust colored olives. He sought my immediate attention for more when he ate his last treasured morsel. I myself did not appreciate olives until I moved to Yellow Springs, but the Winds’ particular brew---blessed with hint of citrus---changed all that. Lian agrees and it seems I may need to be ordering an extra plate on our next visit to satisfy the entire family.
