8 pears
1 garlic head
1/2 cup butter
olive oil
salt and pepper
Halve the pears and remove the core with a melon baller. Place a teaspoon of butter and a garlic clove in each hollow. Dab a bit of olive oil on the underside of each pear to prevent burning.
Place in skillet or dutch oven. Salt and pepper to taste. Roast for an hour at 400 degree. Save some for me.
Makes 16 servings.
